Mountain Dew Code Red Review (Soda Tasting #166)

Mountain Dew Code Red Review (Soda Tasting #166)

Pepsi first attempted a Mountain Dew flavor variant in 1988 with Mountain Dew Red, a fruit flavored Dew that saw only a brief test release. Pepsi didn’t try again until Code Red (Dew “with a rush of cherry flavor”) in 2001 and it was a success, which is why they have continued to produce it. Thank you to Prodip P, danielsquarepants13, TheGoldenBeasts, Soifool, SuperSuperevil, Bob Smith and nchjdl (who works for PepsiCo) for the request. Do you like Mountain Dew […]

Mountain Dew (with Sugar) Review (Soda Tasting #153)

On this episode of Soda Tasting, we’re taking a look at a sugar sweetened version of Mountain Dew produced in the United States. It’s not Mountain Dew Throwback, just an unassuming grass bottle of the popular soda. The name Mountain Dew comes from the moonshine that was produced in Appalachian stills in Tennessee, according to a Bloomberg report. It was created in the 1940s by brothers Ally and Barney Hartman and early bottles featured a depiction of an armed hillbilly […]

Marvo has been kind enough to spotlight Soda Tasting on his website multiple times and when he first featured the show, he […]

The Cirtus Cherry flavor returned for the fourth time and that’s the focus of this episode of Soda Tasting. What current generation video game console do you own? Please let me know in the comments. Thank you for watching.

Mountain Dew Voltage Review (with Dark Berry Comparison) (Soda Tasting #20)

Mountain Dew Voltage Review (with Dark Berry Comparison) (Soda Tasting #20)

Mountain Dew Voltage offers the “exhilarating taste of Dew, charged with ginseng and raspberry citrus flavor.” When I reviewed Mountain Dew Dark Berry in episode #2, YouTube member brookbabeisaguy115 commented that it was drawing comparisons to Voltage. So, in this episode, I also compared the two Dew varieties. Thanks for the idea, brookbabeisaguy115! If you’ve had both, which do you prefer: Voltage or Dark Berry? Please let me know in the comments. Thank you for watching.

Mountain Dew Dark Berry Review (Soda Tasting #2)

Mountain Dew Dark Berry Review (Soda Tasting #2)

Earlier this year, Mountain Dew released a limited time flavor, Dark Berry, as part of a big tie in with the new Batman movie, “The Dark Knight Rises.” Released in mid-June by Pepsi, this Dew variety was said to only be available for 8 weeks. Have you tried Mountain Dew Dark Berry? What do you think? Is this a flavor that you’d like to see Pepsi produce regularly? Thank you for watching.
