Virgil’s Root Beer (Special Edition Bavarian Nutmeg) Review (Soda Tasting #152)
According to BevNET.com, this special edition of Virgil’s Root Beer is imported from Bavaria and is brewed and bottled in a 400 year old brewery. This root beer has a diverse array of ingredients including anise, honey, licorice, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, wintergreen, cassia oil, sweet birch and molasses. The well water used comes from the Bohemian Forest region of Bavaria.
Rootbeer Dinosaurs of the World, a root beer focused blog, posted photos of the label of a bottle that they purchased and the label is different from what I have here. That sticker listed a calorie count of 120 for 8 oz, while this one shows 107. I emailed REED’S, the company behind the product, to see if there are any differences between that one and the one that I reviewed and I have not heard back. If I do, and anything here is incorrect, I will update the video description.
