Fresca Original Citrus is a grapefruit flavored zero calorie soda. Fresca was a favorite of President Lyndon B. Johnson. The Fresca brand was first introduced in the U.S. in 1966, but Coca-Cola uses the brand differently in Mexico. Inca Kola is a source of natural pride in Peru, the country where it was invented. Coca-Cola bought the brand in 1999, securing ownership throughout the world except in Peru, where it is owned by Corporación Inca Kola Perú, a joint venture between Coca-Cola and the Lindley family, who created the drink. In 1973, the Indian government passed the Foreign Exchange Regulation Act. Through this act, they attempted to force Coca-Cola to sell 60% of the equity in their operations in the country to Indian investors. Introduced in 1955 in Africa, Sparletta Creme Soda is available in Kenya, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania and Uganda.
